USDT SAFE TRANSFER GUIDE

Accuracy matters more than speed when sending USDT. This page is an informational guide and does not process transactions. Always recheck the current network and destination address displayed by the service you are using before sending.

02Verify address
03Save the TXID
01

Four Checks Before You Send

Confirm that all four items below match before selecting send. If anything differs, stop and review the instructions again.

Asset — confirm that the currency being sent is USDT

Network — the sending and receiving wallets must use the same network

Address — compare the first and last characters of the copied address

Amount — review the minimum, fee and expected amount to arrive

02

Basic Transfer Flow

Start by selecting USDT and the required network on the receiving screen, then copy the address. Enter the address and amount in your sending wallet. Review the network, address and fee again on the final confirmation screen.

Step 1 — select the asset and network on the receiving screen

Step 2 — copy the address and compare its first and last characters

Step 3 — confirm the amount and fee, then send

Step 4 — save the transaction hash (TXID) and completion screen

03

Network Selection Comes First

USDT exists on networks including TRC-20, ERC-20 and BEP-20. Although the asset name is the same, a transfer to an address on a different network may not be recoverable.

If the receiving screen specifies TRC-20, select TRC-20 in the sending wallet

Never substitute an ERC-20 or BEP-20 address

If the network is unclear, do not send until the official instructions confirm it

04

Verify the Wallet Address Twice

Copy and paste the address instead of typing it manually. After pasting, compare the first six and last six characters with the original and confirm that nothing changed.

When possible, make a small test transfer to a new address first

Even when using a QR code, verify the address on the final screen

Do not use an address received through a messenger or search advertisement

05

Processing Time and Confirmations

A completed send screen does not always mean the receiving balance updates immediately. Timing depends on blockchain confirmations, withdrawal review by the sending service and the receiving service’s own checks.

First confirm that the sending wallet shows the transfer as complete

Use a block explorer to check the TXID status and confirmation count

During network congestion, wait rather than sending the same transfer again

06

Fees and Exchange Rates

A network fee and a withdrawal fee may apply separately. Fiat estimates can change with the market, so confirm the actual amount of USDT expected to arrive.

Review the deducted fee and final receiving amount before sending

Check any time limit attached to a quoted exchange rate

If the screen has been open for a while, refresh the address and estimate

07

If a Transfer Is Delayed or Incorrect

Stop before sending again. Collect the TXID, sending address, receiving address, network, amount and time. Share the same details with the official support channels of the sending wallet and receiving service.

Save the TXID and a screenshot of the transaction status

Understand that a transfer on the wrong network may not be recoverable

Block anyone claiming to be support who asks for a seed phrase or private key

08

Account and Wallet Security

Verify the official domain directly and use two-factor authentication where possible. A legitimate support agent should never ask for your seed phrase, private key or installation of a remote-control app.

Never share a seed phrase or private key

Avoid wallet activity on public devices or public Wi-Fi

Recheck pasted addresses to guard against clipboard-replacement malware

09

Key Takeaways

A safe USDT transfer comes down to four habits: match the network, verify the address, review the fee and save the TXID. Slow down and check once more on the final confirmation screen.

Ten extra seconds of checking can prevent an irreversible transfer mistake.
